The nights are getting longer, it’s colder, wet, windy. Here at Sealake Autumn is time for our goats to leave their pasture and go back to their barns and sheltered winter paddock.
I thought I’d show you this sunset photo from one of our farm security cameras, taken earlier this week, they’ve cleared all the weeds, tall thistles and most of the grass in this field over the summer.
We do keep several acres of wild flowers, brambles and many trees in other areas (away from the goats) to protect wildlife. This area of the Yorkshire Coast has a rich variety of species and habitats.
